Abstract
Let be a commutative Noetherian ring, be an ideal of which is generated by a regular sequence of length four, be a regular element of , and be the hypersurface ring . Assume that is a grade four Gorenstein ideal of . We give a resolution of by free -modules. The resolution is built from a differential graded algebra resolution of by free -modules, together with one homotopy map. In particular, we give an explicit form for the matrix factorization which is the infinite tail of the resolution .
