Abstract

Middle convolution is an operation for Fuchsian systems of differential equations which preserves Schlesinger’s deformation equations. In this paper we announce that Bolibruch’s non-Schlesinger deformations of Fuchsian systems are, in general, not preserved by middle convolution.
